SCOTT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – Two deaths have been confirmed in Scott County after severe weather on Friday, May 16.
According to Scott County Sheriff Derick Wheetley, the deaths happened in separate parts of the county.
Angie Rodgers, Executive Director of the Scott County 911 Emergency Services Board says ten people were injured during the storms.
The injuries range in severity, but those victims are being treated for their injuries.
Sheriff Wheetley said Sloanville Road is a “total loss” with 15-20 homes impacted. County Road 524 is bad as well.



Rodgers said crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to clear debris left behind by the storms.
Sheriff Wheetley said anyone who isn’t helping clean up the damage should avoid the areas.
Missouri leaders and lawmakers responded on Friday night to the damage reported across the state.
