Tracy Morgan took over headlines this morning after an unfortunate incident at last night’s (March 17) New York Knicks game. The veteran actor was wheeled out of the Madison Square Garden match-up after he threw up while sitting courtside. Many fans, peers, and onlookers reacted, but one person who couldn’t pass up a chance to provide commentary is none other than 50 Cent.
Viral footage from the event shows Morgan projectile vomiting onto the court floor. Fif grabbed a screenshot from the moment and posted it on his page, writing, “Damn Tracy WTF going on bro.” He used this as an opportunity to plug his affiliated alcohol brand, adding, “Too much Branson cognac. LOL @lecheminduroi @bransoncognac @50centaction.”
The cognac brand itself hopped in the comment section to add onto the promo, typing, “Made with the finest quality grapes in Cognac, France [laughing emoji.” See his post below.
Thankfully, the 30 Rock alum has since updated fans that he is doing alright and also provided confirmation that the cause for him getting sick was food poisoning. “Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!” he captioned a photo on IG of himself in a hospital bed.
In true comedian fashion, Morgan also included a lighthearted joke about his willingness to go through it again if that meant his squad would take home another win. “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” he concluded.
Social media users voiced both concern and amusement for the Longest Yard actor. “Got carried out of MSG on wheelchair, could barely stand up snd nose woodnt stop bleeding..pray for bro,” one user wrote under 50’s post as another echoed, “He’s been having health issues pray for bruh.”
Another person matched the NY rapper’s energy as he sent a stray to the defeated team, typing, “Watching the [Miami] Heat play live would do that to u.” One person acknowledged the “Many Men” spitter’s dedication to speaking about the alcohol brand by any means necessary, adding, “One thing 50 gonna do is promote the hell out that Branson Cognac.”
