‘Aggressive’ Mickey Rourke addresses being kicked off of ‘Celebrity Big Brother’

Mickey Rourke is owning up to his bad behavior on “Celebrity Big Brother UK.”

The actor and retired boxer, 72, was kicked off the British reality show this weekend for “inappropriate language” and “unacceptable behavior.”

During Sunday’s episode, Rourke called fellow houseguest Chris Hughes a “c–t” while they were doing a pirate-themed challenge. Rourke also told the “Love Island UK” alum, “Don’t f—ing eyeball me.”

Additionally, Rourke stated that houseguest Ella Rae Wise would be an “old bag” one day.

Rourke was called into the Diary Room, where Big Brother scolded him for his bad behavior.

“Earlier today in a disagreement with Chris, your language and behavior was threatening and aggressive. Big Brother does not tolerate threatening language or behavior. In addition, you have used inappropriate sexual language to Ella,” Big Brother said.

“Oh, I’m not aware of that but OK,” Rourke replied.

Big Brother continued, “This language has caused offense to your fellow housemates and could cause offense to the viewing public. This is not the first time Big Brother has had to speak to you about your offensive and inappropriate language.”

Rourke said in the Diary Room, “I did wrong. I apologize. I’m sorry. I can’t take it back, you know, I stepped over the line. And I take responsibility for doing the wrong thing. Cause I lost my temper, and I’ve been trying to work on it my whole life and I wish I would have had better self-control and I’m very sorry.”

“I’m ashamed of myself for losing it for a few seconds there,” the Oscar nominee added. “Nobody got touched or hurt. Maybe some feelings got hurt or maybe others have feelings about others getting upset but, you know, I’m sorry about that.”

Producers then confirmed to Rourke that they have “no option” but to oust him from the show.

“I blame myself, I know it was my bad,” Rourke responded. “I’ve got a short fuse and I know I upset a lot of people out there. And I’m sorry for that. I’m actually ashamed of myself for getting that hot. I went over the line, you know, I did wrong. I guess, like they say, I’m a work in progress. I just wanna pack my bags and leave. I wanted to leave yesterday actually but I wasn’t chosen.”

After exiting the Diary Room, Rourke apologized to JoJo Siwa for making offensive comments about her sexuality.

“I want to apologize. I’ve got a habit of having a short fuse. And I don’t mean nothing by it. I do mean it [sorry]. If I didn’t, I wouldn’t say it to you,” Rourke told the 21-year-old “Dance Moms” star.

The pop singer’s mom, Jessalynn Siwa, spoke out about her daughter’s treatment on Instagram on Friday before Rourke was asked to leave the show, and said that JoJo handled the situation “great.”

Amidst the drama, Disney Channel alum Bella Thorne spoke out against Rourke’s past behavior, accusing the actor of injuring her genitals while on a movie set. The pair worked together on the 2020 film “Girl.”

Rourke’s reps responded to Thorne’s allegations and recognized her claims as being “deeply troubling” and “extremely serious,” but they also said that Rourke “denies any intentional misconduct.”
