Video Appears to Show Sudiksha Konanki and Person of Interest Vomiting Outside Bar Before She Vanished

Surveillance video appears to show Sudiksha Konanki, the college student who disappeared during a Spring Break trip to the Dominican Republic, getting sick outside a bar just hours before she went missing.

Noticias SIN, which obtained the video, identified a woman who appeared to vomit as Konanki, the missing University of Pittsburgh student last seen heading toward the beach at the Riu Republica hotel in the resort town of Punta Cana early on the morning of March 6.

In the video, Konanki is seen drinking with friends at the hotel on March 6. At one point she leaves the group and appears to throw up outside the hotel bar before excitedly rejoining her friends.

Also pictured in the video is a man identified by Noticias SIN as Joshua Riibe, the 24-year-old Iowa native who has since been named a person of interest who authorities believe was that last person to see Konanki before she disappeared.

The man reportedly identified as Riibe is seen in the video hunched over, also appearing to be sick.

Riibe and Konanki are not seen interacting with each other at any point in the video.

Konanki was last seen walking toward the beach at around 4:15 a.m., according to Dominican police. Footage of her walking arm-in-arm toward the beach with a man appearing to be Riibe was previously reported by Noticias SIN.

Riibe, who is not accused of a crime, has been questioned multiple times by authorities in the Dominican Republic and remains in the country.

Dominican outlet El Nacional reported that Konanki’s clothes were found on a chaise lounge on the beach.

She was reported missing by her friends later on March 6 after she didn’t return to her hotel room, PEOPLE previously reported.

Authorities have used boats, helicopters, drones and scuba divers in their search for Konanki, though nothing has been found.

The FBI and Homeland Security Investigations are assisting with the search.
