Golden State won game 7, 103 to 89.
The Buddy Hiels game, 22 points in the first half, finished with 33.
And those, those 22 in the first half were important, Dan, because Steph only had 3 in the first half and they need Heed those points from Buddy Hield.
Houston actually got it down to 3 points in the 3rd quarter after trailing by 12 at half, and Warriors had a great end of the quarter.
They put him away in the 4th quarter.
Steph finished with 22, Butler had 20, Draymond had 16 points.
He pitched in as well.
And Dan, you’re a Bay Area guy, so, you know, I’m curious for your opinion here.
This is another series win of many for Steph, Draymond, Steve Kerr.
And, and to me, this felt like a really unique one against this tough, gritty, defensive-oriented Rockets team.
How are you gonna remember this one, Dan?
If there’s one person that’s gonna send the Rockets home, it’s gonna be Steph Curry.
This is the 5th time he’s eliminated the Houston Rockets from playoffs from the playoffs.
And, and from him, for him to have.
This one felt different.
Like this Houston team couldn’t be any different from those other Harden Maury Rockets teams.
Yeah, 55 times, yeah, like he just got their number now and for him to go off like that in the, in the second half, 17 points, 12 coming in the 4th quarter, um.
There’s not much more you can say about Stephen Curry, man.
And despite having a quiet first half to have that, to, to still be able to have that muscle memory, um, that crucial shot that you’re talking about when it, when that mean Thompson came up with that Giy calf and he led up a three-pointer, Ijoa called a timeout immediately.
He’s like, I gotta get him off the floor because Steph’s just gonna kill us if he continues to get that matchup.
And um it’s just a heady play by Steph Curry and then Jimmy Butler also, I think that this is, this is what Draymond fora.
When we talked about the All-Star break, it was like, Was Draymond onto something when he was saying that the Warriors can actually win a championship?
When you have Jimmy Butler playing this way, locking on defense at, at all, at all facets of the game, and you have Steph Curry that can win you a game, and you get these outlier performances from Pomski at times and Buddy Hield, this is, this is the path that the Warriors have to win a championship and it’s looking pretty bright, considering their success against the Minnesota T Wolves earlier this year.
