PINE BELT, Miss. (WDAM) – Damage reports and road closures are coming in from areas hit by severe weather on Monday morning.
Many residents in the Pine Belt woke up Monday to a tornado warning for parts of Marion, Lamar and Forrest Counties. The warning lasted until 7:30 a.m.
Lamar County Damage – March 31, 2025
Early reports show most of the storm damage was around the Pine Burr community and the southwest corner of Lamar County.
The Lamar County Emergency Management Agency reported damage along the following roads:
- Johnson Road
- McGraw Road
- Luther Saucier Road
- Prosperous Bridge Road
Crews with local fire departments are checking on residents in these areas and working to help clear the roads. They ask that everyone stay off the impacted roads.




The Marion County EMA confirmed damage in the Pine Burr area, mainly structure damage and downed trees.
The Forrest County EMA said they have no reports of damage or closed roads at this time.
