Harvard University has ordered those on its Cambridge, Massachusetts, campus to shelter in place after MBTA Transit police reported shots fired at the Harvard Square station. The Cambridge Police Department, MBTA Transit Police, Massachusetts State Police and Harvard University police are all searching for a suspect in the shooting, the university confirmed. The school has asked students and faculty to stay in the nearest building until further information is given.The MBTA is providing shuttle buses to replace service between the Central and Alewife stations due to the police activity at Harvard Station. The MBTA reported delays of 25 minutes due to police activity at the Harvard Station.
