Following the deadly Pahalgam attack, Prime Minister Narendra Modi issued a stern warning, vowing to identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers. Speaking in Bihar’s Madhubani, Modi declared India’s resolve to pursue them to the ends of the Earth, switching to English to address the international community. “”Every effort will be made to ensure justice is done, entire nation is firm in resolve,” he said.

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, at his first public rally after deadly Pahalgam attack that claimed 28 lives, issued a stern warning on Thursday, saying India will “identify, track and punish every terrorist and their backers”.

India Announces ‘Unimaginable’ Pahalgam Revenge; ‘Will Track To End Of Earth’ | Alert In Pakistan

PM Modi, at a rally in Bihar’s Madhubani, said: “Every effort will be made to ensure justice is done, entire nation is firm in resolve.”

The Prime Minister, who spoke about the J&K attack in Hindi, suddenly switched to English and declared, “Today, from the soil of Bihar, I say this to the whole world, India will identify, trace and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth.”

As India’s clear declaration to the world, PM Modi said, “India’s spirit will never be broken by terrorism … terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure that justice is done.”

“Entire nation is firm in this resolve,” he said at the Hindi heartland.

In a clear message to the world, PM Modi said, “Every one who believes in humanity is with us.”

The rare speech in English was clearly a message not for Indians, but the world.

“I thank people, leaders of countries who have stood with us,” PM said in Madhubani.

The social media users were quick to point out the messaging behind the move. “The fact that PM MODI used “English” to address this, gives a direct msg to the international Lobby and to those who sponsored terrorists. The revenge is gonna be BIG!” a user wrote on social media platform X.

“PM has shifted to English in Bihar’s Madhubani – the target audience is the West and all news agencies carrying this message across the world,” another one wrote.

The Pahalgam terror attack has received global condemnation. US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were among world leaders who condemned the terror attack, expressing solidarity with India.

In a call with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Trump strongly condemned the terror attack and expressed full support to India to bring to justice the perpetrators of the “heinous attack”.

Meanwhile, in a strong diplomatic pushback, India has announced a series of measures against Pakistan. Accusing Islamabad of backing cross-border terrorism, India has suspended the 1960 Indus Water Treaty, shut down the Integrated Check Post at Attari with immediate effect, and revoked Pakistan’s access to travel under the SAARC Visa Exemption Scheme (SVES). All previously issued SVES visas have been cancelled, and Pakistani nationals under the scheme have been given 48 hours to leave the country.

The Ministry of External Affairs said the attack came “in the wake of the successful holding of elections in the Union Territory and its steady progress towards economic growth and development.”
