Folds has built a career blending rock, pop and classical influences. Best known for his work with the alternative rock group Ben Folds Five, as well as his solo career and numerous collaborations, he is known for his sharp humor, virtuoso piano skills and masterful songwriting. The group was perhaps best known for the song “Brick”, which peaked at No. 17 on Billboard’s Hot 100 in 1998.

His last album, a solo album entitled “What Matters Most” was released in 2023. Last fall, he recorded a live album slated for release in a yet to be announce date in 2025, which he recorded alongside the National Symphony Orchestra (NSO) at the Kennedy Center in DC.

The Colorado Symphony says the performances will showcase Folds’ signature piano-driven melodies alongside the symphony’s orchestral depth. These performances are often known for their blend of spontaneous audience engagement and humorous elements.

As part of the symphony’s 2025-26 season, tickets to the Ben Folds concert are available exclusively through a 2-pack ticket option, which provides attendees with a discounted ticket to an additional Colorado Symphony Classics performance.

Ticket holders can choose between Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with Michelle Cann (April 24-26, 2026) or Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition conducted by Christopher Dragon (May 15-17, 2026), making it an opportunity to experience the Folds show in addition to the symphony’s other offerings.
