Ben Roethlisberger couldn’t be happier that the Steelers drafted Ohio State QB Will Howard out of the sixth round in the 2025 NFL Draft — and he shared why on Tuesday.

On his podcast, Footbahlin with Ben Roethlisberger, the Steelers legend explained why drafting Howard is a win-win situation, even bringing up arguably the G.O.A.T. as a comparison:

“You draft him in the sixth round, it’s like, okay, whatever. If he works out, great. If he doesn’t, he’s a sixth-rounder. There’s been some pretty good ones that have come in the late rounds — Tom Brady. And no, I’m not trying to say Will Howard is Tom Brady, but I like this pick,” Big Ben stated.

Roethlisberger then excitedly called for Howard to join the podcast soon:

“I like what he’s going to bring. I can’t wait to see him in person. I’d love to get him on this show.”

Howard’s sit-down with Ben would be an exciting episode to watch — and we all know how it worked out the last time the Steelers drafted a quarterback out of Ohio. Just ask the future Hall of Fame QB himself.
