The women’s NCAA Tournament is down to its final four teams.
So who will make it out of the Final Four and advance to the national championship game?
That’s the very question that will soon be answered by the end of the night, as reigning defending national champion South Carolina, No. 1 seeds Texas and UCLA, and one of women’s college basketball’s biggest brands, UConn, square off against each other in the Final Four on Friday in Tampa, Florida at Amalie Arena.
Like the men’s Final Four, an SEC vs. SEC matchup kicks off the women’s Final Four as South Carolina faces Texas. Friday’s game is the fourth meeting between the Gamecocks and the Longhorns this season, and the second in the last 26 days.
Then, in the nightcap, Paige Bueckers looks to lead the Huskies back to the national championship game against Lauren Betts and the Bruins. Geno Auriemma is coaching in his nation-leading 24th Final Four on Friday, while it is the first for Bruins coach Cori Close.
