JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) – The K8 Storm Team monitored late Sunday afternoon and evening for severe storms.
Chief Meteorologist Ryan Vaughan said the ingredients would be in place for strong winds, large hail, heavy rain, and tornadoes.
A medium threat (Level 3 out of 5) for severe weather is possible Sunday evening and night.(KAIT)
Storms should exit after 12 a.m. Monday, but they could start as early as 3 p.m. Sunday in the Ozarks.
“Power outages are possible, so be sure to have multiple ways of receiving watches and warnings,” Meteorologist Kristina Balentine said.
Most of the storms will likely develop in the evening hours and move through by midnight, but we could have some storms in the Ozarks in the late afternoon.(KAIT)
In addition to Sunday’s possible severe weather, the K8 Storm Team has issued a First Alert Day for Wednesday, April 2, for another chance of severe weather.
