Caitlin Clark returned to Iowa City and reminded fans exactly why she’s become a phenomenon. While she scored just 16 points, Clark delivered the type of electric performance that has made her a household name.
In a dominant 108-44 blowout win over Team Brazil, Clark started the game and played 19 minutes. She shot an impressive 4-for-6 from three-point range and added six rebounds and five assists.

It wasn’t just fans who were captivated by her performance. Former players and coaches around the league also took notice. One of Clark’s standout moments came when she pulled up from just inside halfcourt and drilled a deep three-pointer — a shot from the same spot where she broke the NCAA scoring record during her senior season at Iowa.
Former Indiana Fever teammate and current Seattle Storm guard Erica Wheeler was among those impressed. She took to social media to shout out Clark, saying:
“Nahhhh C this craaaa!! aboveeeee the 22 is wild!”
Wheeler, a 5-foot-7 point guard from Rutgers, played 39 games with the Indiana Fever last season, averaging 14 minutes and 3.6 points per game. During the offseason, she signed with the Seattle Storm.

As Clark enters her second season in the WNBA, she continues to be a headline attraction. Her return to Iowa City had been uncertain after she missed Saturday’s game with a leg injury. Nonetheless, the Fever managed to secure a 79–74 overtime win over the Washington Mystics.
