For those without access to a TV, particularly for first-round games Thursday and Friday that take place during the afternoon, the ability to stream these games is a constant worry. Think of the office workers stuck at a cubicle. Or those who are out and about and unable to plop down on their couch in front of their flat screen. Or students whose teachers aren’t kind, considerate or thoughtful enough to wheel a television into the classroom.

How to stream March Madness games for free

Outside of games that air on CBS, there are few streaming options that are completely free of charge for the viewer.

Through the NCAA’s website, fans can stream games with March Madness Live, but accessing that requires a valid login with a cable service. Still, if a consumer has a cable subscription that carries CBS and the Turner family of networks — for NCAA Tournament purposes, that’s TBS, TNT and truTV — they can use their cable login credentials to stream games on their phone, computer or tablet with March Madness Live.

Beyond that, fans can also stream games live with Fubo, which offers a free trial to potential subscribers.
