The Hawkeyes dance without Caitlin Clark for the first time on Saturday morning, facing the nation’s highest-scoring team, Murray State. Fifteen more games follow throughout the day, and the round ends in style with starry LSU.
Paige Bueckers, Sarah Strong and Azzi Fudd lead Geno Auriemma’s battle-tested UConn Huskies in Saturday’s second game. We also get prime, pressurized looks at NC State and North Carolina. Madison Booker and No. 1 Texas go for their first tournament triumph since 1986, and all eyes turn to supernova JuJu Watkins when fellow top seed USC starts its run.
Saturday night wraps up with Flau’Jae Johnson, Aneesah Morrow and the LSU Tigers versus San Diego State. Round 2 hits almost as soon as the first ends. The remaining 32 teams will go at it on Sunday and Monday.
