Jordon Hudson is defending herself and her relationship after she made headlines for her appearance in boyfriend Bill Belichick‘s CBS News Sunday Morning interview.

The influencer, 24, revived her X account to reshare comments defending her interjection in the broadcast. She reposted one person’s comment, which read, “I see a woman who cares about her man and doesn’t want him to be screwed around by the media,” punctuated by a shrugging emoji.

The Miss Maine USA contestant also promoted posts that pointed out how the interview was meant to be about the 73-year-old’s book and his dad’s work as an assistant coach for the Naval Academy football team. “They were wearing Navy for this reason,” an X user wrote, referring to their matching merch worn in the interview.

Following the interview, Hudson also posted a carousel of carefree Instagram photos to celebrate the bright weather in Nantucket, Mass. In the first picture, Hudson can be seen soaking up the sun while lying beside blooming yellow daffodils beneath a tree. She matched her surroundings in a vibrant lemon sweatsuit, sunglasses and blue flower-shaped earrings.

The following photos saw the former cheerleader smiling as she posed for selfies with a friend and leaning on the side of a porch. “Lots o’ daffs & laffs 🌼💛☀️,” Hudson captioned the set of garden snaps.

Her latest Instagram update and X activity followed the CBS Sunday Morning broadcast. During his interview, Belichick was accompanied on air by his girlfriend. Her interjection during the Sunday Morning broadcast led to an awkward moment in the conversation that’s since gone viral.

Journalist Tony Dokoupil described her as a “constant presence” during their conversation, which took place ahead of the release of the former NFL coach’s new book, The Art of Winning: Lessons from a Life in Football.

The Maine native — who supported Belichick on the interview set in a matching sweatshirt — sat just out of the main frame. At one point, Dokoupil asked Belichick how he felt with all of the public interest in the couple’s relationship and private lives.

“I’ve never been too worried about what everyone else thinks,” the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill head football coach replied, adding that instead, he just tries “to do what I feel like is best for me, and what’s right.”

Dokoupil then asked about how Belichick and Hudson met, prompting the former cheerleader to speak up from her spot in the corner of the set and shut down the question.

“We’re not talking about this,” she said sternly, as Dokoupil turned to her and asked, “No?”

“No,” she doubled down, making for a visibly awkward moment between the interviewer, interviewee and Hudson herself. In a voiceover during the Sunday Morning segment, Dokoupil segued from the awkward pause by stating, “It’s a topic neither one of them is comfortable commenting on.”

The journalist continued by turning his attention to the glimpses the couple has already given into their relationship — Hudson’s Instagram posts, including a snap of them doing beach yoga together, and a photo of their mermaid-fisherman Halloween costumes.

After Dokoupil pointed out that these pictures show a “different side” of Belichick and asked him what the reaction had been like, the interview got awkward once again, with the coaching legend not quite understanding the question.

“Yeah, so I’m on some of those social media platforms,” he replied after more explanation from Dokoupil, “but I honestly don’t follow.”
