Jrue Holiday on the Boston Celtics’ strong second half vs. Orlando Magic in Game 1

Pretty much everyone knew that the Eastern Conference first round series of the 2025 NBA Playoffs between the Boston Celtics and the Orlando Magic was going to be a bit of a rock fight. But it seems like the Celtics were not expecting to get punched quite as hard as they were by the Magic in Game 1 of the series, Orlando carrying a lead into the the third quarter of the contest after a slow Boston start.

But the Celtics roared back in the penultimate frame, with a big boost from veteran Boston guard Jrue Holiday. Speaking to the media after the Celtics’ 103-86 victory, Holiday shared how his team responded to the strong first half from the Magic, saying he that”in the second half, we we wanted to show that we can withstand whatever punch that they have so, we just turned up the defense.”
