Kate Middleton Took a Total 180 With Her UK Mother’s Day Post After Major Photoshop Fail

Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton, is seemingly trying to make 2025 a much quieter year than the craziness of 2024. For UK Mother’s Day today, March 30, 2025, the Princess of Wales decided to take a 180 with her usual approach, avoiding another Photoshop fail by doing something else altogether.

In case you missed it, she shared a compilation video on her Instagram, but of a very powerful mother, Mother Nature, in lieu of another photo of her and her kids: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

She shared the video to her Instagram with the caption reading, “Over the past year, nature has been our sanctuary. This Mother’s Day, let us celebrate Mother Nature and recognise how our bond with the natural world can help not only nurture our inner selves, but remind us too of the role we play within the rich tapestry of life. C.”

This beautifully-captured video seems to be a complete 180, or an overcorrection to the Photoshop debacle from last year.

The Princess of Wales’ 2024 Mother’s Day photo was one of the biggest scandals the Palace faced. She shared a photo of her and her three kids, which was later proven by multiple experts to have glaring Photoshop errors and sent a “kill notice” for the snapshot.

A spokesperson for the Associated Press released a statement to The Telegraph, saying, “The photo shows an inconsistency in the alignment of Princess Charlotte’s left hand,” and others noticed other blunders.

Kate responded to this debacle amid her absence from the public eye, stating on X, the app formerly known as Twitter: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.”

And now, it seems she’s avoiding a new blunder altogether with a cinematic short-nature film.

Prince William, Prince of Wales and Catherine, Princess of Wales

For those who don’t know, Kate and William met back in the early 2000s, and later married in April 2011.

They share three children together named George, born in July 2013, Charlotte, born in May 2015, and Louis, born in April 2018.

Now, Kate’s love for nature is nothing new. In fact, in a previous chat on the Happy Mum, Happy Baby podcast, she revealed that her grandmother is the one who influenced her love of all thigns outdoors. “I had an amazing Granny who devoted a lot of time to us—playing with us, doing arts and crafts, and going to the greenhouse to do gardening, and cooking with us—and I try and incorporate a lot of the experiences that she gave us at the time into the experiences that I give my children now,” she said.
