After a historic flight to space earlier this week, Katy Perry is back to the daily tasks of life on Earth — such as preparing school lunches for her 4-year-old daughter, Daisy.
On Wednesday, April 16, the pop star, 40, shared an image of Daisy’s lunch box, which was filled with pretzels, carrot sticks, pineapple chunks and other treats. Fittingly, Perry also included a piece of bread cut into the shape of a star.
“Back to the best reality, packing school lunch,” the mom wrote over the Instagram Stories photo, adding a heart and yellow blossom emoji.
The “E.T.” singer was one of the six women on Blue Origin’s first all-female flight crew, which traveled to space on Monday, April 14.

Flight NS-31 took off from West Texas in a round-trip expedition that lasted about 11 minutes.
Journalist Gayle King, philanthropist Lauren Sánchez , astronaut and bioastronautics research scientist Amanda Nguyen, NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe and filmmaker Kerianne Flynn were also aboard the flight.
While the group’s history-making mission inspired numerous headlines, it was also the subject of criticism. Memes circulating on social media the following day poked fun at the length of the trip and Perry’s choice to kiss the ground after returning from the expedition.
Even fast food chain Wendy’s entered the conversation with a jab at the singer.

“Can we send her back,” the restaurant’s account wrote in response to a post that read, “Katy Perry has returned from space.”
However, Perry called the trip an “incredible journey” when reflecting on the experience in an Instagram post Tuesday.
She also shared the special moment with her daughter, whom she welcomed with fiancé Orlando Bloom, 48, in 2020.
Daisy, dressed in an astronaut costume, watched the capsule descend to the ground with a big smile. As a tribute to her daughter, Perry brought a small daisy into space and held it up as she exited the capsule.

“This experience is second to being a mom,” she told reporters after landing. “That’s why it was hard for me to go because that’s all my love right there, and I have to surrender and trust that the universe is going to take care of me and protect me and also my family and daughter.”
She continued, “I am full up from being able to get that gift of being a mom, and to go to space is incredible, and I wanted to model courage, worthiness and fearlessness.”
