March Madness 2025 live updates, score: First Four continues with UNC-San Diego State

  • Alabama State wins its first NCAA Tournament game in a thriller. Amarr Knox is the hero, and also their leading scorer with 16 points.
  • ALABAMA STATE. Amarr Knox comes down with the football pass and makes the lay-up with one second left. The Hornets lead 70-68.
  • Oh man, Madlock misses the front end of a 1-and-1, but some aggressive Alabama State defense makes Saint Francis lose control on a frenetic drive. Alabama State ball with 3.4 seconds left and a tie game.
  • Huge play. Players from both teams lunged for a loose rebound after Alabama State’s miss, but the Hornets’ TJ Madlock got there first and Daemar Kelly got called for a foul on the ensuing collision. It’ll be free throws for Alabama State with 11 seconds left.

  • The game has tightened up big time with 11:32 left. Saint Francis is holding onto a 50-49 lead, but its bench is now being outscored 22-0 by its Alabama State counterpart.
