- A one-point game at halftime in Baton Rouge turned into an LSU blowout over Florida State after the Tigers outscored the Seminoles 31-6 in the third quarter and 51-22 in the second half.
- Three LSU players scored 20 or more points, led by Mikaylah Williams with 28 points (shooting 3-of-3 from 3-point range). Aneesah Morrow added 26 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists, while Sa’Myah Smith scored 20 with 12 boards, six assists and three steals.
- Ta’Niya Latson tallied a game-high 30 points for Florida State with seven rebounds, four assists and two steals. Makayla Timpson added 14 points and nine boards.
- LSU advances to its third consecutive Sweet 16 under head coach Kim Mulkey and will face NC State in Spokane, Washington on Friday.
- A day after the Maryland men pulled off the thriller of the NCAA tournament, Maryland’s women have offered their own entry into tournament lore.
- No. 4 seed Alabama rallied from a 31-21 first-half deficit to take a 17-point lead in the third quarter of Monday’s second-round matchup with Maryland. But the Terrapins countered with a rally of their own to erase the deficit before eventually pulling off a stunning, 111-108 win in double overtime.
- The victory overcame a heroic effort by All-SEC guard Sarah Ashlee Barker, who set an Alabama record with 45 points, the fourth-highest total in NCAA tournament history.
- Alabama’s 3-point attempt to tie it bounces off the rim, and Maryland is 1.8 seconds away from taking this game.
- Alabama is hanging tough, but Sarah Te-Biasu hit another huge 3-pointer to put Maryland up by 6. Alabama won’t go away, though.
- Sarah Te-Biasu made a 3-pointer to start the second overtime period, and Maryland added a pair of free throws to take a nice lead early.
- What looked like it could be the best game of the day has turned into a blowout. (Maryland and Alabama have claimed that title now.)
- LSU steamrolled Florida State 31-6 in the third quarter. Mikaylah Williams has 24 points for the Tigers, followed by 20 from Aneesah Morrow. Kim Mulkey’s team is shooting 59% from the floor (43% on 3-pointers).
- It’s a 12-12 game in Chapel Hill, following an 8-0 run by West Virginia to end the first quarter. Jordan Thomas scored the last four points of the frame to tie the score.

- The Terps have a 95-91 lead with 1:25 remaining. Can they hold on for the win after rallying from 17 down?
- LSU has jumped out to a 58-51 lead to begin the second half. A Flau’Jae Johnson layup and foul extended the Tigers’ lead to seven and prompted Florida State coach Brooke Wyckoff to call timeout at the 7:42 mark.
- That pass by Shyanne Sellers to open overtime is why she’s on first-round WNBA draft boards. She’s unfortunately been hampered by a lingering knee injury this season. The point guard has looked better in this game on the knee than she did in the Big Ten Tournament.
- Alabama’s last-second shot missed the mark as the buzzer sounded, and we have overtime. Maryland rallied from a 17-point second-half deficit to force the extra session, and we go to overtime tied at 83-83.
- Sarah Te-biasu’s 3 on a busted play late in the shot clock secured the tie for Maryland. What a finish.
- Dueling 3s have now tied the game at 83-83. Alabama has the ball with 12 seconds left.
