Opening day of the 2025 MLB season has gotten off to a rocky start for many baseball fans.
Thousands of baseball fans reported that the MLB.TV app was not working for them as Opening Day games started around the country on Thursday afternoon.
Two games were in progress when the technical issues began, the New York Yankees’ home opener against the Milwaukee Brewers and the Toronto Blue Jays’ home opener against the Baltimore Orioles.

Across MLB, 10 games were scheduled to start between noon and 1:10 p.m., causing millions to flock to the app that can be purchased for $149.99 annually.
Thousands of complaints lit up social media as customers were unable to watch or listen to games involving their favorite teams.
“Unbelievable. On opening day. Spring training games were working. $150 and I was pumped to watch games today, now I am pissed,” one fan wrote.
Major League Baseball has not provided an explanation so far.
