How did Sunita Williams get stuck in space?: Sunita Williams, along with astronaut Butch Wilmore, were on a Boeing Starliner spacecraft to test its maiden crewed voyage in June 2024 and went on space expedition for a little over a week. But the Boeing Starliner suffered propulsion issues and was deemed unfit by the space administration to fly the duo astronauts back to Earth. Since then, Williams has been on the ISS, waiting for the replacement shuttle to land back on Earth.

At what time will the crew return to Earth?: The Dragon spacecraft has physically separated from the International Space Station, marking a major milestone in the Crew-9 mission’s return journey. The hatch was closed at 8:15 am IST on Tuesday, and astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are now on track, and is expected to splash down off the coast of Florida at approximately at 3:27 am IST on Wednesday.
