“I had called around 3 p.m. just to enquire as the family was on a tour. Family members said that a terrorist attack had happened and Shubham had been hit by a bullet. They were not able to tell anything else. Thirty minutes later, my sister-in-law called and informed that Shubham was dead. She was crying and feeling faint. Later, we got to know that the terrorists targeted male tourists and asked for their religious identity first,” said Saurav Dwivedi, a cousin of the deceased.
The deceased, Shubham Dwivedi, married Aishanya, daughter of Rajesh Pandey from Yashoda Nagar, in Kanpur on February 12 this year.
