We may not have to wait long for Cooper Kupp to choose his next NFL team.
Kupp has interest from “at least five teams,” according to a report from Jordan Schultz of Fox Sports (via Rams Wire), and “the expectation is he’ll decide sooner rather than later.”
This follows a previous report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter that stated at least a dozen teams have checked in on the status of the receiver. Schefter noted in his SportsCenter segment that “we should have a decision here fairly soon.”
So, who are the clubs pursuing Kupp? Schefter specifically mentioned the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos and New England Patriots as teams to watch. Meanwhile, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport has name-dropped the Seahawks, Houston Texans and New Orleans Saints.
Rapoport has also indicated Kupp’s next deal could fall in the $11 million to $12 million range, which matches what Spotrac.com has listed as his market rate. It seems that the Seahawks, Broncos, Patriots, Texans and Saints could be the five teams that Schultz referenced, but that’s just speculation.
With multiple sources indicating it won’t be a drawn-out process, fans in Denver should expect a decision from Kupp any day now.
