The New England Patriots have a need at wide receiver, and they might turn to Cooper Kupp to address it. The team, after all, is regarded as a potential landing spot for the recently released former Super Bowl MVP.
In fact, they are one of three teams worth keeping an eye on according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.
“Teams that bear watching here include the Seattle Seahawks, the Denver Broncos, and the New England Patriots, amongst others,” he said on the air on SportsCenter on Thursday morning.
Schefter mentioned that more than a dozen teams have expressed some level of interest in Kupp. The 31-year-old was released by the Los Angeles Rams after they failed to find a trade partner for him. He entered the open market off a 67-catch season that saw him gain 710 yards and score 6 touchdowns in 12 games.
That production would have ranked first on the 2024 Patriots in all three categories.
