Penn State adds to its new record total for team points during NCAA Wrestling Championships

PHILADEPHIA — Cael Sanderson’s Penn State team went 2-for-3 in the championship finals on Saturday night, with Mitchell Mesenbrink and Carter Starocci winning at 165 and 184, respectively.

The Nittany Lions, team champions for the fourth consecutive season, finished the tournament at Wells Fargo Center with a record 177 points, bettering their previous record total of 172.5, a number they accumulated last season.
