60S. ALL RIGHT MIKE, THANK YOU. A HUGE JUMP IN POWER OUTAGE NUMBERS NOW MORE THAN 200,000 DUQUESNE LIGHT CUSTOMERS ARE WITHOUT POWER IN ALLEGHENY COUNTY ALONE. ANOTHER 20,000 CUSTOMERS IN BEAVER COUNTY ARE IN THE DARK. THIS IS A HUGE SPIKE FROM REPORTING FROM THE UTILITY IN THE LAST HOUR. AND WEST PENN POWER REPORTS MORE THAN 190,000 CUSTOMERS ARE OUT. WE, OF COURSE, WILL KEEP YOU UPDATED ON THESE NUMBERS AS CREWS BEGIN TO SURVEY THE DAMAGE AND END THE OUTAGES THAT ARE OUT THERE RIGHT NOW AND GET PEOPLE BACK. NOW, PITTSBURGH’S PUBLIC SAFETY SHARING ITS 911 SYSTEM IS EXPERIENCING OUTAGES BECAUSE OF THE EXTREME WEATHER. Strong storms brought winds, heavy rain, and an isolated tornado threat for Western Pennsylvania Tuesday evening. Many are still without power across the region. Duquesne Light reported over 200,000 homes in Allegheny County do not have power.Following reports of damage, multiple schools that were originally delayed are now closed.
