OF THE WEEK. THAT’S COMING UP IN JUST A FEW MINUTES. MIKE. THANK YOU. AND WE ARE SHOWING YOU AND TRACKING THAT DAMAGE NOW. REPORTER JORDAN CIOPPA IS LIVE ON THE SOUTH SIDE. JORDAN, WHAT ARE YOU SEEING THERE? YEAH. KRISTEN. WELL, LAURA, FURNITURE IS MISSING PART OF ITS ROOF TONIGHT. AFTER IT WAS BLOWN INTO THE STREET. NOW, I SPOKE WITH THE OWNERS WHO WERE INSIDE WHEN THIS HAPPENED. LUCKILY, THEY ARE OKAY. EVERYONE ELSE IS OKAY. AND THAT HUGE PILE OF DEBRIS THAT WAS LAYING IN THE MIDDLE OF EAST CARSON STREET IS ALL CLEANED UP. POWERFUL THUNDERSTORMS IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA LEFT BEHIND A MESS ON EAST CARSON STREET IN THE SOUTH SIDE. I JUST SAW THIS ROOF JUST FLYING. I THOUGHT IT WAS ACTUALLY THE FRONT OF A BUILDING. PERRY AND LAURA SIGISMUND, THE OWNERS OF LAURA, WERE INSIDE THE FURNITURE STORE WHEN THE ROOF OF THE NEW PART OF THEIR BUILDING WAS RIPPED OFF. THE COUPLE SAID THEY LET ALL OF THEIR EMPLOYEES GO HOME BEFORE THE BAD WEATHER ROLLED IN, BUT THEY DECIDED TO RIDE OUT THE STORM. I WAS ASTOUNDED TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON. THERE WERE CARS AND I AM SO THANKFUL AND SURPRISED THAT NOBODY GOT HURT. I MEAN, IT IS A MIRACLE THAT NOBODY GOT HURT WITH ALL THIS FLYING DEBRIS. MANY PEOPLE STOPPED TO WATCH AND TAKE PICTURES AS PITTSBURGH PUBLIC WORKS CLEARED THE HUGE PILE OF DEBRIS FROM THE STREET. LUCKILY, THE SIGISMUND SAY THERE WAS NO DAMAGE ON THE INSIDE OF THE STORE. NO ONE GOT HURT. OUR EMPLOYEES LEFT EARLY, THANK GOD. I TOLD THEM TO GET OUT OF HERE AND. EVERYBODY’S SAFE. I MEAN, THAT’S THAT’S THE TICKET. NORTH VERSAILLES RESIDENT CHRISTY JORDAN IS ALSO FEELING GRATEFUL FOR HER SAFETY FOLLOWING THE STORMS. THAT’S THE FIRST I COULD SAY I’VE BEEN HIT BY A ROOF. SHE WAS DRIVING ON ROUTE 30 WHEN THE ROOF OF JORDAN’S AUTO BODY CAME BARRELING AT HER CAR. COINCIDENTALLY, JORDAN’S BROTHER IN LAW OWNS THE SHOP, AND HER HUSBAND WORKS INSIDE. SO THE FIRST THING SHE DID WAS PULL OVER TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE WAS OKAY. THEY JUST HEARD, LIKE A LIKE A BANGING NOISE, AND THEN THEY THOUGHT IT WAS JUST THE DUMPSTER HERE THAT KNOCKED OVER. THEY DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE THAT THE ROOF CAME OFF UNTIL I COME IN LIKE THE ROOF IS OFF. NOW, SHE SAYS. THEY WERE OKAY. SHE DID HAVE SOME DAMAGE TO HER CAR. NOW, AS FOR LAURA, THEY ARE PLANNING TO REOPEN TOMORROW, REPORTING LIVE IN PITTSBURGH
