Fans of the Black and Gold hoping the Pittsburgh Steelers sign (literally) any QB other than Aaron Rodgers may need to brace themselves for latest news on the four-time MVP coming to the Steel City.

According to John Geiger, a fashion designer currently collaborating with New Era and Lids, took to social media on Wednesday to let fans know that Rodgers requested a Pirates hat from the upcoming Misplaced Series collection of MLB related caps.

While this information should be taken with a grain of salt, as Rodgers could be using this ‘leak’ as a contract negotiation tool with teams other than the Pittsburgh Steelers, it still the most concrete information the Black and Gold faithful have seen over the past few days.

Will Rodgers potentially don the new Pirates hat design in an upcoming Pittsburgh Steelers signing announcement, or is this nothing more than grasping at straws at this point?
