According to a Matt Norlander report, Texas hire Sean Miller as their next head basketball coach.

Miller, who previously coached Arizona for 12 seasons and is in his second stint at Xavier, will replace Rodney Terry as Texas’ head basketball coach – Terry was released today. Miller, who has led 13 teams to the NCAA Tournament and four to the Elite Eight, holds a 487-196 career record and guided Xavier to some of its best seasons.

Texas fired Terry after an inconsistent 2023-24 campaign, finishing 19-16 following a First Four loss to Xavier. Terry, who took over midseason in 2023 and led the Longhorns to an Elite Eight, went 62-37 overall and 27-27 in conference play.
