Shannon Sharpe’s Accuser Shares Alleged Audio Of Him Threatening To ‘Choke’ Her

Shannon Sharpe has even more to worry about now.

A day after Shannon Sharpe and his legal team denied claims that the Super Bowl champion had assaulted a woman who filed a lawsuit against him, a damning audio call has been released of him allegedly threatening to harm her.

An Audio Call Of A Voice Assumed To Be Shannon Sharpe Has Been Released

On April 22, 2025, TMZ released an audio call, allegedly featuring the voice of Sharpe, threatening to physically harm the woman who filed a $50 million lawsuit against him.

“I don’t know. Anything I say you’re just gonna, like, get mad at me and you’re just gonna hang up on me,” a woman’s voice can be heard saying in the clip.

Later, the voice alleged to be Sharpe can be heard replying, “I’m not going to hang up on you. It is what it is.”

After that, the male’s voice is heard telling the woman on the line that she was going to start being “a d-ck to me now,” urging her to say to the caller not to “manipulate me.”

However, that comment didn’t sit well with the voice assumed to be Sharpe.

The male voice replied: “Oh, lord, have mercy. If you say that word one more time, I’m gonna f-cking choke the sh-t out of you when I see you.”

The female voice said, “I don’t wanna be choked,” to which the male caller said, “Yes, you do. I don’t think you have a choice in the matter.”

Shannon Sharpe Has Been Sued For $50 Million

On Monday, April 21, Sharpe was sued in a Nevada court by a “Jane Doe” for allegedly sexually assaulting her over the course of their alleged relationship, which she claims occurred between 2023 and 2025.

In the suit, Doe said she met Sharpe at a Los Angeles gym when she was 20 years old, when the former NFL player allegedly offered to pay for her plastic surgery if she won a weight loss competition with him.

According to Doe, the alleged relationship between her and Sharpe began as a flirtatious interaction, but over time, it turned into something more sinister.

Her lawyer, Tony Buzbee, who was just involved in a legal war with Jay-Z, released a statement about this relationship and claimed Sharpe was controlling.

“He demanded complete control over her time and body,” Buzbee wrote, “expecting her to be at his house on his schedule, at his command, whenever he called.”

The documents also alleged that Sharpe threatened to “k-ll” the woman when he caught her attempting to share her location with her friends.

The suit read, “The moment he realized what she was doing, he grabbed her by the neck and told her, ‘If you ever do that again, I will f-cking kill you.'”

Jane Doe Alleged Sharpe ‘R-ped’ Her On Multiple Occasions

According to TMZ, Doe also claimed she tried to end her relationship with Sharpe after his infamous sex tape scandal on Instagram in 2024, but that only led to more problems.

In the documents, Doe claimed Sharpe raped her after she tried to end their relationship. In fact, the suit claimed Sharpe forced himself on her “while she was crying and sobbing.”

But it doesn’t end there.

There’s another claim, in which Doe alleged the “Club Shay Shay” host raped her again in January 2025 after allegedly promising to provide her with gifts for the holidays.

Shannon Sharpe Addressed The Claims And Released ‘Jane Doe’s’ Name

After news of the lawsuit was revealed, Sharpe’s legal team, specifically Lanny J. Davis, released a statement on Instagram.

In the post, Davis revealed the woman’s identity as Gabriella Zuniga and even shared alleged text messages she sent to Sharpe.

One text read, “Only if you put that baby gravy in me, then I can do whatever I want.”

Another read, “That’s my daddy. F-ck, I want [you] to put a big black baby in me.”

A third text even seemingly presented Sharpe with an offer to have sex with Zuniga for “$25k [per] cheek.”

Sharpe’s Lawyer Said This Is A ‘Shake Down’

In the statement released on behalf of Sharpe, Davis called the lawsuit a “shake down” attempt orchestrated by Buzbee to secure “millions” from Sharpe.

Davis continued, “It is filled with lies, distortions, and misrepresentations — and it will not succeed.”

He also explained why he released the alleged messages from Zuniga.

“To set the record straight, we are releasing several of Ms. Zuniga’s own explicit text messages to Mr. Sharpe that clearly indicate the nature of their relationship was consensual and sexual in nature — and, in many cases, initiated by her with specific and graphic requests,” the statement read.

Sharpe’s legal counsel continued, “These messages are just a sampling of a broader pattern of graphic, sexual communications initiated by Ms. Zuniga. The evidence paints a clear picture: this was a consensual, adult relationship that included role-playing, sexual language, and fantasy scenarios explicitly requested by Ms. Zuniga.”

Davis finished by saying Sharpe stood “firmly” in his truth and was prepared to fight back against “these false claims … in court.”
