Country singer Morgan Wallen is stirring up more controversy.
After performing “I’m The Problem” and “Just in Case” on Saturday’s episode of Saturday Night Live, the musician abruptly walked off the set just as the closing credits began to roll.

In the video above, Wallen is seen standing center stage with host Mikey Madison as the SNL cast stands several feet behind the pair. After Madison delivers her final farewell, the singer walks off-camera, foregoing the traditionally warm Studio 8H goodnights with the cast.
Shortly after the episode ended, Wallen posted a photo of an airplane to his Instagram story, captioning it, “Get me to God’s country.”
Wallen has a habit for making headlines due to his controversial behavior: In October 2020, SNL dropped him as musical guest after numerous TikTok videos surfaced that showed him unmasked and fraternizing in crowded Alabama bars, breaking CDC guidelines during the COVID pandemic. He ultimately made his SNL debut two months later.
In 2021, TMZ released a video of the singer hurling profanities (including the N-word) while returning home from a night out with friends. His music was temporarily pulled from radio stations and streaming platforms, and he was formally disinvited from multiple award shows — including the 2021 Billboard Music Awards.
What did you think of Wallen’s hasty SNL exit: Was he sending a message, or did he simply have a flight to catch? Hit the comments with your reaction, then grade the episode in the poll below!
