FORECAST:

Lower air quality is expected as a result of wildfire smoke from the wildfire in Ocean County. The smoke dwells over the area due to the fair yet stagnant conditions that are present.

Hazy sunshine will last through today and tomorrow across parts of the state. With calm surface winds, the smoke will also stay near the ground in Ocean and Monmouth counties today.

The wind will be from the south this afternoon and this sea breeze will also keep the coastal areas cooler than areas inland.

Highs in Mercer and Hunterdon counties can reach near 83 degrees whereas it says closer to 73 at the coast. Hudson and Bergen counties, for examples, can reach near 78 degrees instead.

The sunshine continues tomorrow with increasing afternoon clouds. It will be warm again. Beneficial rain comes through for Saturday, clearing the air over New Jersey.

Rain lasts throughout the day on Saturday.

Sunday is sunny but breezy.
