Sydney Sweeney and Jonathan Davino have ended things for good after calling off their wedding earlier this month.
“She’s exactly where she wants to be. Most people would feel overwhelmed by her working schedule this year, but not Syd. She’s all about working right now and very excited about all her projects,” a source told People Monday, confirming the couple have called it quits.
The source added, “What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it.”
The insider told the outlet the actress — who was recently spotted with Glen Powell at his sister’s wedding — is “in the middle of a magical career” right now and wants to keep her focus on that.

“She’s not ready to settle down,” the source claimed. “They only lasted for this long because it was hard for her to break it off. They didn’t split because there is no love. They split because she just wants to focus on her career right now.”

It was recently reported that the pair had called off their wedding due to “major issues” in their relationship.
“Sydney and Jonathan have been having major issues but are not fully split,” a source told Us Weekly last week. “Things are not great right now, but they aren’t throwing in the towel yet. They are working on their relationship but have called off the wedding for now.”

The source noted that while their nuptials were supposed to take place in the spring, Sweeney, 27, was “extremely busy” and “couldn’t handle the stress.”
“Things are also always tense between them when she is promoting a movie because she has to give her full attention to the project, and people always speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her co-stars,” the source explained.
The duo, who got engaged in 2022 after first being linked in the fall of 2018, were last photographed together on Jan. 20 when the “Euphoria” star took a break from filming the “Housemaid” — just one of her many upcoming projects.
However, breakup rumors started to swirl last month when TMZ reported that she had postponed her wedding to the businessman, 41.

While the couple was supposed to say “I do” in May, the wedding was put on hiatus — with no new date in sight.
By March 11, it was revealed Sweeney was staying at the Beverly Hills Hotel rather than at one of her two properties in Los Angeles. She reportedly checked into the swanky spot in mid-February, but sources told TMZ that Davino did not join her.
Instead, the actress was regularly spotted hanging out with a few friends at the hotel’s famed Polo Lounge, the pool and bar.
The “Anyone But You” star added more fuel to the fire when she arrived in the City of Love without her beau. Sweeney seemingly traveled solo to Paris for Miu Miu’s fall 2025 fashion show before jetting out the next day.

Sweeney and Davino’s relationship became a hot topic of conversation in 2023 due to her undeniable chemistry with “Anyone But You” co-star Glen Powell.
Both Sweeney and Powell later admitted that they leaned into the chatter to promote the rom-com; however, rumors ramped up this week as they were seen together at his sister’s wedding in Dallas, Texas.
Despite recent chatter, Sweeney and Davino have always been plagued by breakup rumors due to the ultra-private nature of their relationship.
The Chicago-based producer seldom attended public events with Sweeney, and they rarely stepped out together.

The actress hardly ever wore her engagement ring and shied away from talking about their relationship in interviews, previously saying it was “important to have something for [herself].”
However, their decision to remain out of the public eye often led to unfounded split speculation.
Sweeney faced the same issue at the beginning of 2025 while promoting the “Housemaid” with co-star Brandon Sklenar.
The thriller, based on Freida McFadden’s best-selling book, is currently in post-production, meaning another potentially headline-making press tour may be on the horizon.
