The NFC East was the main attraction in the last conference championship game when Saquon Barkley’s Philadelphia Eagles faced the Washington Commanders, led by the spectacular rookie Jayden Daniels. In the end, the Eagles secured a dominant victory, advancing to the Super Bowl, where they defeated the Kansas City Chiefs.

In the division, the Eagles and Commanders stole the spotlight, while the other teams-Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants-missed the playoffs. Dallas is looking to build a competitive team, whereas the Giants signed Russell Wilson in free agency to try and compete after several disastrous seasons.
Russell Wilson’s message to the NFC East
Russell Wilson has officially been introduced as the New York Giants’ new quarterback. He visited the team’s facilities and even spent time with head coach Brian Daboll. Additionally, Wilson made his first statements, delivering a strong message.
“I expect to be the starter and come here ready to give my all every single day,” Wilson said on Wednesday. “Being able to lead… I believe this team is looking for someone to lead them in every possible way.”
Wilson, the former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, signed a one-year contract worth $10.5 million guaranteed, with incentives that could bring the deal up to $21 million. On paper, Wilson will be competing for the starting job in Week 1.
“I hope to come in and be the starter, earning it every day with my mindset and focus,” Wilson added. “I think when you play this position, my daily goal is to step onto the field, help our team strategize, and ultimately be the best in the world-one of the best. And I believe that’s my mindset, to understand that.”
Giants still eyeing Shedeur Sanders
Despite signing Wilson, multiple Giants insiders, including Jordan Raanan, have reported that the team could still target Shedeur Sanders in the draft. The front office is reportedly high on Sanders, making him a controversial potential pick, especially after the arrivals of Wilson and Jameis Winston.
Currently, sportsbooks have the Giants as the favorites to draft Heisman Trophy winner and versatile player Travis Hunter with the third overall pick in the upcoming draft.
