Thousands line the Boston Marathon race route

From Framingham, to kisses at Wellesley College, to brutal Newton Hills and Cleveland Circle, fans and runners said this year’s race did not disappoint.
“I need to go back and start again! I’m loving it,” said one runner.
“I love supporting these runners, and it’s amazing to see all of these runners so dedicated,” said one fan.
“It’s lined with people the whole way. It’s the best place to be,” said another fan.
