Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump have confirmed their relationship in a post on Instagram. The professional golfer wrote that “Love is in the air,” as he confirmed his relationship with the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr., the eldest son of President Donald Trump.
Newsweek has reached out to Woods and Vanessa Trump outside of regular working hours via email and social media for comment.
Vanessa Trump and Tiger Woods Relationship Timeline
Woods, 49, confirmed the relationship with Vanessa Trump, 47, in an Instagram post on March 23rd, 2025. He wrote, “Love is in the air and life is better with you by my side! We look forward to our journey through life together. At this time we would appreciate the privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
The confirmation came shortly after the Daily Mail reported on March 13 that the two were dating. The outlet reported that the two had been seeing each other since just before Thanksgiving, citing anonymous sources.
The two families had previously been seen together at the PGA Tour’s Genesis Invitational at Torrey Pines in California in February.
Vanessa Trump’s daughter Kai Trump, who is one of the five children she shares with Donald Trump Jr, was pictured with Woods. Woods arrived at the Genesis Invitational to give a trophy to the winner, and was the host of the tournament.

Woods and Vanessa Trump both live in Palm Beach Florida. Kai Trump reportedly attends the same school in as Woods’ two children, Sam and Charlie. Both Kai and Charlie are aspiring golfers and competed on an invitation at a high-profile junior golf tournament earlier this week.
President Donald Trump awarded Woods the Presidential Medal of Freedom back in 2019.
Why Did Vanessa Trump Divorce Donald Trump Jr.?
Vanessa Trump filed for divorce from Donald Trump Jr, in 2018.
She filed an uncontested proceeding, meaning that she didn’t expect to go to court over their five kids and assets. The New York Post first reported the news, and they had earlier put out a story stating that the pair had marital issues.
They married in November 2005 at President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Together they share five children, Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe. Kai Trump spoke at the Republican National Convention when her grandfather was named the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election, which he ultimately won, beginning his second nonconsecutive term as president in January.
Tiger Woods’ Dating History
Woods has been married once, to Elin Nordegren, with whom he shares two children. She divorced him in 2010, following exposure of his multiple extramarital affairs which were highly publicized and a long-term fixture in the press.
He was later in a relationship with Erica Herman, a nightclub manager, which lasted for around seven years. The relationship ended in 2022, and the split was messy with Herman filing lawsuits, which were ultimately dismissed, against Woods and the trust that owns his South Florida estate, where she had lived.
Though it is unclear why Woods has now confirmed his relationship with Vanessa Trump, it mirrors behavior in a past relationship. In 2013, while dating the Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn, the pair shared photos together on social media to confirm that they were dating.
Speaking at the Arnold Palmer International at the time, he said, “We wanted to limit the ”stalkerazzi,'” adding, “We basically devalued the first photos,” he said.
Woods recently announced on March 11 that he had ruptured his left Achilles tendon, which will keep him out of golf indefinitely and has put his PGA Tour return into question.
