Timberwolves vs. Lakers: Where to watch Game 5 today

After an exhilarating comeback, the Minnesota Timberwolves have a shot at eliminating the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night and advancing to the second round of the NBA Playoffs.

The Lakers looked they were going to grab a split on the road in Games 3 and 4, leading the Timberwolves in the fourth quarter this past Sunday. However, Anthony Edwards spearheaded a vigorous rally late in regulation, with Minnesota outscoring the Lakers 32-19, stealing a 116-113 win to move within a win of Round 2.

Edwards led all players with 43 points in Game 4, with Julius Randle posting 25. Jaden McDaniels notched a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

Luka Doncic led the Lakers with 38 points, with LeBron James chiming in with 27 in the losing effort.

For how much work the Lakers did to bolster their lineup, an early playoff exit would not be ideal. The team went out and acquired Doncic, and while the former Dallas Maverick has played well, it clearly has not been enough to make Los Angeles look like a contender.
