TMH says all patients from Florida State University shooting expected to make ‘full recovery’

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Medical professionals at Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare are scheduled to share an update Friday afternoon on the victims they are treating after a shooting at Florida State University.

TMH is currently treating six people who were injured Thursday after an FSU student allegedly opened fire on pedestrians near the FSU Student Union.

The shooting left two dead and six victims injured. The alleged shooter is also hospitalized with gunshot wounds after being struck by gunfire in a standoff with law enforcement, according to the FSU Police Department, Leon County Sheriff’s Office and Tallahassee Police Department.

The press conference with TMH medical staff is scheduled for 1 p.m., just 25 hours since a gunman first opened fire, according to authorities.
