Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan vomited while sitting courtside at Madison Square Garden on Monday night and needed to be taken out in a wheelchair, delaying the New York Knicks’ game against the Miami Heat for more than 10 minutes.
The incident was captured in photos and videos that circulated on social media. In the videos, the 56-year-old Morgan is seen holding a towel to his face as he is wheeled off.
The incident occurred midway through the third quarter and shortly before the Knicks opened a 24-6 run to eventually secure a 116-95 win.
“First and foremost, obviously we hope everything is good with Tracy Morgan,” Knicks forward Josh Hart told reporters after the game. “Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.”
Morgan is a regular Knicks game attendee, and his courtside seat is directly next to the broadcasting table, where Kenny Albert and Clyde Frazier were sitting.
It is not known if Morgan received medical attention after leaving the arena. His manager did not respond to a request for comment.
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” a Madison Square Garden spokesperson said.
