BOURBON, Ind. (WSBT) — Triton School Corporation will be closed Thursday after a tornado warned storm caused damage in Bourbon late Wednesday.

At this time, a tornado has not been confirmed.

The district said in a statement on their Facebook page:

Praying for the families in Bourbon from the storm. We are in close contact with law enforcement as they do their best to reroute traffic, provide assistance to families, and make sure they are providing a safe environment in the midst [of this] difficult situation. Triton School Corporation will be cancelled tomorrow due to the need to help clean up, restore power, and plan for how to care for those in our community.

Families in need of assistance can seek shelter at the high school through Door 5.
