Virginia Giuffre’s dad questions Epstein accuser’s suicide ruling

The father of Virginia Giuffre reportedly wants authorities to take a closer look at his daughter’s death last week, which is said to have been by suicide.

Giuffre’s family told the BBC in a statement Friday that the 41-year-old woman who accused Britain’s Prince Andrew and U.S. financier Jeffrey Epstein of sexually exploiting her as a teenager a decade ago had ended her life. But Giuffre’s father, Sky Roberts, is now telling TMZ that his daughter previously indicated killing herself isn’t something she would do. He wants authorities to take a closer look.

Giuffre reportedly posted a message on social media in December 2019 supporting her father’s suspicions.

“I am making it publicly known that in no way, shape or form am I suicidal…” she wrote in that post saved by screenshots online. “If something happens to me – in the sake of my family do not let this go away and help me to protect them. Too many evil people want to see me quieted.”

Epstein died in Metropolitan Correctional Center in August 2019. Prince Andrew has denied having a sexual relationship with Giuffre when she was underaged, but privately settled a lawsuit with her in 2022. British media put the settlement upward of $13 million.

Giuffre’s family reportedly said Friday: “She lost her life to suicide, after being a lifelong victim of sexual abuse and sex trafficking.”

TMZ reports Giuffre’s attorney is also skeptical about the idea his client died by suicide in western Australia.

A battered Giuffre said on March 30 that she’d been involved in a car crash and had only days to live. She posted a photo to Instagram showing her badly bruised face. The mother of three said she was “ready to go.”

Giuffre claimed she met Epstein’s former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell in 2000, which led to her being trafficked to influential men including the Duke of York. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years behind bars in 2022 for her efforts to help Epstein sexually exploit girls over the course of a decade. The verdict followed a one-month jury trial.

Prince Andrew was spotted with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson outside London on Sunday, according to E! News. He’s claimed to have no recollection of meeting Giuffre. A 2001 photo allegedly taken by Epstein appears to show the royal, his accuser and Maxwell together.
