WEST PALM BEACH, Fla (CBS12) — Virginia Giuffre, a former Loxahatchee resident and one of the most vocal accusers of Jeffrey Epstein, passed away last week at the age of 41.
Her death, initially ruled a suicide, has sparked calls for further investigation from her father, who is urging authorities to reexamine the circumstances surrounding her passing, according to TMZ reports.

Giuffree, who attended Royal Palm Beach High School, is remembered for her courage in exposing Epstein’s sex trafficking ring and advocating for victims of sexual abuse.
Local attorney Spencer Kuvin, known for litigating against Epstein, praised Giuffree’s relentless fight for justice. Although he did not personally represent her, Kuvin acknowledged her impact.
“Virginia continued on. She fought not only Jeffrey Epstein but also the federal government in the way they handled the proceedings with the sweetheart deal he got—and won,” Spencer Kuvin, attorney at GOLDLAW.
In 2019, Giuffree publicly alleged that Epstein trafficked her when she was 17 years old, forcing her to have sex with his friends. She claimed Prince Andrew was aware she was underage at the time, though he has repeatedly denied the allegations.
Kuvin also highlighted the tragic reality faced by many survivors, noting that Giuffree is not the only victim who has taken their own life.
“There are others. They have to go nameless because they were anonymous during the time that this process played out,” he said.

While her death is being investigated, authorities have stated it is not considered suspicious. Epstein died by suicide in a New York jail in 2019, weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking charges.
