Sam Darnold turned his career around with the Minnesota Vikings to the tune of a 14-3 season, a Pro Bowl selection, and a substantial pay increase in free agency.
After trading incumbent starter Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Seahawks acquired Darnold on a three-year, $100.5 million contract. He will be the new signal-caller on a revamped Seahawks offense that will also need work on the offensive line and at wide receiver.
With the trade officially processed on Wednesday, Darnold will get the chance to speak to Seahawks media on Thursday. Three times Darnold has faced the Seahawks as an opponent, all at Lumen Field, with three different teams. He lost his debut with the New York Jets in a blowout, won as a Carolina Panther, and won as a Minnesota Vikings. Let’s see him win some games in a Seahawks uniform!
