HOUSTON — Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling have concluded their coverage of the Mets’ opening series against the Astros after one SNY broadcast.
The Mets’ final two matchups of their first series of the season will be featured on national broadcasts. The team’s second game at 8:10 p.m. will be featured as part of Apple TV+’s first installment of Friday Night Baseball in 2025.
The Mets’ 7:15 p.m. game on Saturday against the Astros will be broadcast on FOX.
The Mets will be looking to bounce back from Thursday’s 3-1 Opening Day loss to the Astros. Juan Soto stepped to the plate as the potential go-ahead run with runners on the corners in the ninth inning and struck out against Astros closer Josh Hader.
As the Mets look to avoid a series loss to begin the season, right-hander Tylor Megill will draw the start. Hunter Brown will get the nod for the Astros in the second game of the season.
