The second week of Women’s March Madness tips off today. Over the next two days, we’ll see the Sweet 16 narrowed to an Elite Eight, followed by the Final Four who will be headed to Tampa.
The big game on the docket today is Duke vs. North Carolina, bringing new fuel to one of college sports’ greatest rivalries. It’s the biggest meeting between the Tobacco Road schools since the Tar Heels men’s team ended Mike Krzyzewski’s career in the 2022 Final Four. The two split their prior games this season, with the Blue Devils winning most recently on Feb. 27.
Another team from the Triangle, NC State, will have its hands full with Flau’jae Johnson and LSU tonight. We’ll also see defending champion South Carolina in action today, as well as No. 1 overall seed UCLA.
Saturday will see Southern California take the court without Player of the Year frontrunner JuJu Watkins, plus UConn and Notre Dame. Then tickets to Tampa will start getting punched Sunday.
