The Road to the Final Four is nearly complete.
On Selection Sunday, 68 teams on each side of the men’s and women’s side of the NCAA Tournament embarked on what they hoped would be a three-week March Madness journey with the hopes of ending it by standing on a quickly built stage hoisting a national championship trophy with confetti falling on them.
And by the end of Monday night, both the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments will have their Final Four teams.
On the men’s side, the first two tickets to San Antonio have already been secured on Saturday from the West and East Region with Florida and Duke. Two additional spots will be clinched on Sunday in the South and Midwest regions between Auburn-Michigan State and Houston-Tennessee.
As for the women’s side, all four tickets to the Final Four in Tampa, Florida, will be secured across Sunday and Monday in Birmingham, Alabama and Spokane, Washington. South Carolina, the No. 1 seed in the Regional 2 Birmingham side of the bracket, is looking for its fifth consecutive trip to the Final Four, where it looks to become the first program since UConn to win back-to-back national titles.
