How did Drake University make the NCAA Tournament?
The Drake University Bulldogs made it to the NCAA Men’s Tournament by winning the Missouri Valley Conference on March 9.
It’s the Bulldogs’ fourth appearance in the last five years and their eighth NCAA tournament overall. Way back in 1969, Drake made it all the way to the NCAA Final Four.
Drake (30-3) is seeded 11th and facing No. 6 Missouri in first-round West Regional play on Thursday in Wichita, Kansas.
The Bulldogs leading scorer this season has been guard Bennett Stirtz with 19.1 points per game.
