Following defeats in the respective season openers, defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) continue their 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) campaign when they face off at Guwahati on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals were crushed in their opening match by Sunrisers Hyderabad (RR), conceding a record 286 runs while bowling first. In response, RR managed to reach 242/6 with a spirited comeback from Sanju Samson (66) and Dhruv Jurel (70) but fell short of the mammoth target.
The venue for this clash, Guwahati is RR’s second home after Jaipur. Moreover, it is the home ground of local boy and stand-in captain Riyan Parag who will lead the side in the first three games including both games at Guwahati.
